Anyway, I've just discovered there's a Flanders and Swann album I'd never even heard of called And Then We Wrote.
It looks pretty good based on the lyrics, complete with a G&S parody, Shakespeare, Classical Music and Economics.
Alas, it was a Radio 4 broadcast in 1974, and was released in 1975 by EMI as a Mono LP, but has not been released since.
