Culinary Disaster of the Week

Last week's near disaster was my entire family with the exception of my mother.

This week's disaster:

1. Sister keeps ducks.
   
2. Both last year and the year before, she would not eat duck eggs (but allows the rest of us to)
   
3. Sister has BF round to tea for the first time
   
4. Mother wants to make a good tea
   
5. Ducks have just started laying eggs this year
   
6. Mother therefore makes duck egg quiche for tea
   
7. Mother tells both sister and guest
   
8. Sister therefore refuses the quiche
   
9. BF follows suit
   
10. When questioned, mother says "I thought she'd have grown by now"
